At our church we celebrate the love that God has for us. God´s love is so strong that God sent his only son Jesus Christ to earth to become man and to pay the pure and perfect sacrifice for our sins. The Bible tells us that we all are sinners and we need to be washed clean from the stain of our sin. Christ provides the opportunity for us to be cleansed through the cross and then He demonstrated victory over death by His resurrection from the dead.
However, in order for any of us to have the assurance of eternal life with God in heaven we must accept Jesus Christ as our Savior. For the Bible says:
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (NIV. Romans 10:9-10)
So, today consider the sacrifice that God paid for you and come to church to celebrate His unfailing love.
