God's People... Loving God, Loving People, Serving All

I'm New

What You'll Find
At First Baptist Mims you will find God's People...Loving God...Loving People...Serving All.  When you arrive on campus you will find friendly ushers ready to greet you and direct you where you need to go.  You will find a warm Christ centered atmosphere where you can build friendships for life.  You will find music that brings God glory and helps worshippers express their devotion to Him.  But most important of all you will find the Word of God proclaimed with application for daily living, to help you grow closer to God .

For the Adults
We have Bible Study Groups that cover all ages.  Our Bible Study Groups are a great place to build friendships and study the Bible in depth.  These classes are held on Sunday Mornings at 9:30 am.  We also have a variety of ministries where you can get plugged in and used your gifts to serve God and edify the Body of Christ.

For the Teens
We have Bible Study for both Junior and Senior High on Sunday Mornings at 9:30 a.m. and at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday nights.  This is a positive environment for teens to study the Bible and learn how to apply it to their lives.

For the Children
We have nursery for the little ones on Sunday for Bible Study (9:30 am), our two morning services (8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.), and our evening service (6 p.m.).  Our Nursery is a safe and fun place for the kids to be while mom and dad are in Bible Study and Church.

For the older kids, we have Children's church for both our Contemporary (8:45 a.m.) and Traditional (10:45 a.m.) Services. Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m.

On Wednesday nights at 6 p.m. we have a program for the kids called Awana.  Awana stands for Approved Workers Are Not Ashamed, based on 2 Timothy 2:15. The Children are broken up into three age groups:  Cubbies, Sparks, and TNT.  We incorporate high energy games, discipleship, counsel time, and lots of Scripture memory to teach our kids about God and how to grow closer to Him.
