Who We Are

 

To bring people to faith in Jesus Christ and membership in His family (the Church), equip them for fervent effective prayer as mighty in Spirit, develop them to Christlike maturity, and for their ministry in the church and life mission in the world, so that all may magnify God's name.

 

Magnify: We celebrate God's presence in worship.

Mission: We communicate God's truth through evangelism.

Ministry: We demonstrate God's love through service.

Mighty in Spirit: We involve God's people in fervent effective prayer.

Maturity: We educate God's people through discipleship.

Membership: We incorporate God's family into our fellowship.

We strive to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the tens of thousands of people God has put us among in east central Florida.

 

We strive to be a place where the lost, broken, lonely, hurting, depressed, searching, frustrated, and hopeless, can find love, hope, joy, acceptance, forgiveness, encouragement, guidance, salvation, and a Church home.

 

We strive to welcome every person God brings into our influence into the fellowship of our Church family, loving and growing together in unity and accountability.

 

We strive to bring every believer to spiritual maturity through Bible study, small groups, retreats, seminars, classes, and preaching.

 

We strive to equip every believer for the work of ministry by helping them discover and develop their spiritual gifts and talents which God has given them, and their place of service in the ministry of our Church.

 

We strive to develop every believer to be mighty in Spirit by training and involving them in daily personal prayer and intercessory prayer for all people.

 

We strive to empower every member of our Church for a personal life of evangelism and missions everywhere they go.  We strive to send our members on short-term mission projects every year.  We strive to send out career missionaries and full-time ministers as God calls them out from among us.  We strive to begin new mission Churches in unchurched areas as God provides and leads.

 

We strive to build and maintain a beautiful, simple, functional Church campus in which we can minister to the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of all whom God gives to us.  We strive to develop our church campus debt-free.

 

 

The Bible teaches that we as the Body of Christ should always live in harmony and unity.  That means that because we belong to one another and are of the same faith, we should take care of one another, love one another, and put up with one another.  We must never carry or harbor anger or bitterness toward one another.

Hebrews 4:14, 15; Ephesians 4:1-32

 

The Bible teaches that because we are to be a holy people and we are one body, we must hold one another accountable.  When we see someone who is a part of the body sinning, we are commanded to correct that person in humility and love.
